AI Score is operated by tryAIScore.com ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this platform.

2. Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract performance — processing your email and assessment data to provide the service you requested (Art. 6.1.b)
- Legitimate interest — anonymised analytics to improve the platform (Art. 6.1.f)
- Consent — sending reassessment reminder emails; you may opt out at any time (Art. 6.1.a)
4. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To calculate your AI Score and generate your personalised benchmark report
- To compute global and cohort percentiles (minimum 5-user threshold enforced before cohort data is shown)
- To send periodic reassessment reminders if you have not opted out
- To publish anonymised aggregate statistics (e.g. average scores by industry) — individual data is never exposed
- To detect and prevent abuse of the platform
5. Third-Party Data Processors
We use the following sub-processors. All are bound by data processing agreements:

6. International Data Transfers
Some processors (Resend, Vercel) are based in the United States. Transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, ensuring an equivalent level of data protection.
7. Data Retention
- Account and profile data — retained while your account is active
- Assessment results — retained indefinitely to display your score history; you may request deletion
- Authentication logs — 90 days (Supabase default)
- Analytics events — 12 months rolling (PostHog)
- Email logs — 30 days (Resend)
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Restriction — request we limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time

9. Cookies
We use only the cookies strictly necessary to operate the service:
- Session cookie — maintains your logged-in state (Supabase Auth). Expires when you sign out or after 7 days of inactivity.
- Analytics — PostHog uses a first-party cookie to identify returning visitors. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or sell cookie data.
10. Children's Privacy
AI Score is intended for professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us for immediate deletion.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
